Heat the air fryer to 200°C / 390°F. Toss the asparagus with the oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper in a bowl.

Lay the spears in a single layer in the basket, cooking in two batches if they do not fit. Cook for 6 to 8 minutes, shaking once, until tender with browned tips.
