Method

Lay the slices of bread on a board and spread each with soft butter right to the edges and corners.

Tip the hundreds and thousands into a shallow dish. Press each buttered slice, butter side down, into the sprinkles to coat.

Turn the slices over and shake off any that have not stuck.

Cut each slice into two triangles, or four, and arrange on a plate.
