  1. Chill a tall glass and fill it to the top with ice cubes.

  2. Pour in the gin.

  3. Squeeze the lime wedge over the ice and drop it in.

  4. Top slowly with the cold tonic, pouring it down a bar spoon or the side of the glass to keep the bubbles.

  5. Stir once, gently, and serve straight away.
