Heat the oven to 175°C / 350°F and line two baking trays with baking paper.

Beat the peanut butter, butter, brown sugar and caster sugar for 2 minutes, until smooth and creamy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla.

Stir in the bicarbonate of soda and salt, then the oats, until evenly mixed.

Fold in the candy-coated chocolates and chocolate chips.

Scoop 24 mounds of about 50 g onto the trays, 5 cm apart, and press each down slightly.

Bake for 11 to 12 minutes, until the edges are set and the centres still look soft. Cool on the tray for 5 minutes, then move to a wire rack.
