-

Tips for Making Singapore Sling
- Shake hard and for long enough. The pineapple juice makes a foam on top, and a good shake makes it thick and creamy.
- Use fresh pineapple juice if you can. Carton juice is sweeter and thinner and does not froth as well.
- Measure the small liqueurs carefully. Each is only a splash, but the Bénédictine in particular is strong and can take over.
Common Substitutions & Variations
- Lemon is the everyday swap for lime in this kind of dish — the acidity plays the same role even though the flavour is not identical.
What to Serve with Singapore Sling
- Satay skewers
- Salted peanuts
- Spring rolls
Storing & Reheating Singapore Sling
Best made and drunk at once. The juices can be mixed ahead and kept in the fridge for a day. Add the spirits and shake when you serve.
