  1. Pour the orange juice into a blender jug and add the yoghurt, banana and honey, if using.

  2. Add the frozen strawberries and mango on top.

  3. Blend on high for 45 to 60 seconds, scraping down the sides once, until completely smooth and thick.

  4. If it is too thick to blend, add more orange juice or water a tablespoon at a time. Pour into two glasses and serve at once.

Chef’s Tips

  • Put the liquid in first. The blades pull the frozen fruit down into it, and the jug does not jam.
  • Use frozen fruit and not ice. Ice waters the smoothie down as it melts.
  • Use a ripe banana with brown spots. An underripe one is starchy and leaves the smoothie chalky.

Pairing Suggestions

  • Toast with peanut butter
  • A bowl of granola
  • Scrambled eggs

Storage & Reheating

Best drunk straight away. It keeps in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 24 hours and separates, so shake it well before drinking.
