Heat the oven to 220°C / 430°F (200°C / 390°F fan) with a large tray inside. Toss the potatoes with 2 tablespoons of the oil and half the salt, tip onto the hot tray and roast for 15 minutes.

Pat the chicken dry and rub with the remaining oil, the paprika, garlic powder, the remaining salt and the pepper.

Turn the potatoes, nestle the chicken skin side up among them and roast for 40 minutes, until the skin is golden and the juices run clear.

Squeeze over the lemon, scatter with the parsley and serve straight from the tray.
